Program Overview

The BBA Aviation Management Program at VISTAS is recognized as one of the best BBA aviation colleges in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and India, offering a comprehensive curriculum tailored to meet the evolving demands of the aviation industry. It has achieved a 100% placement record, with graduates placed in leading airlines in India and abroad across diverse aviation domains.

In partnership with the Airport Authority of India, VISTAS has signed a prestigious MoU to provide students with internship opportunities at airports across India, giving them hands-on experience and exposure to real-world aviation operations. Students will also gain live aircraft experience, where they will enter and explore real aircraft, learning every component from the cockpit to the auxiliary power unit, ensuring practical and industry-relevant training.

  • Aviation Management: The program emphasizes the principles of aviation management, covering critical aspects like airline operations, airport management, and aviation safety protocols, ensuring students gain a holistic understanding of the aviation sector.
  • Airport Operations: Students will gain a comprehensive understanding of airport operations, including passenger handling, baggage management, cargo logistics, airport security, and air traffic management, preparing them for operational roles in the aviation industry.
  • Airline Operations: This module focuses on the operational side of airlines, such as fleet management, scheduling, route planning, pricing strategies, and customer service management, equipping students for leadership roles in airline operations.
  • Aviation Law and Regulations: The program introduces students to aviation law, including regulatory frameworks, safety standards, and compliance requirements governed by bodies like DGCA, ICAO, and IATA.
  • Finance and Marketing in Aviation: Students learn about financial planning, budgeting, cost management, and marketing strategies tailored to the aviation industry, helping them understand the business aspects of aviation.
  • Soft Skills and Leadership Development: To prepare students for leadership roles, the program includes modules on communication skills, teamwork, problem-solving, and strategic decision-making, tailored to the demands of the aviation industry.
  • Industrial Visits: Organized visits to airports, airlines, and aviation organizations give students practical exposure to real-world aviation operations, enhancing their industry knowledge.
  • Internships: Students have opportunities to undertake internships with leading airports, airlines, and aviation companies, including those facilitated through an MoU with the Airports Authority of India (AAI) for internships across India. This hands-on experience bridges the gap between academic learning and professional practice.

PO 2 : Addressing complex issues: Students can able to conceptualize a complex issue into a coherent written statement and oral presentation from an open-minded and reasoned perspective.

PO3 : Lifelong learning: Students can acquire knowledge and skills, including “learning how to learn‟, that is necessary for participating in learning activities throughout life.

PO 4 : Moral and ethical awareness/reasoning: Students can embrace moral/ethical values in conducting one’s life, formulate a position/argument about an ethical issue from multiple perspectives, and use ethical practices in all work. Capable of demonstrating the ability to identify ethical issues related to one’s work, avoid unethical behavior such as fabrication, falsification or misrepresentation of data or committing plagiarism, not adhering to intellectual property rights; appreciating environmental and sustainability issues; and adopting an objective, unbiased and truthful actions in all aspects of work.

PO 5 : Information/digital literacy: Students can use ICT in a variety of learning situations, demonstrate the ability to access, evaluate, and use a variety of relevant information sources; and use appropriate software for analysis of data.

PO 6 : Multicultural competence: Students can get knowledge of the values and beliefs of multiple cultures and a global perspective, and the capability to effectively engage in a multicultural society and interact respectfully with diverse groups.

PO 7 : Leadership readiness/qualities: Students can develop the ability to mapping out the tasks of a team or an organization, and setting direction, formulating an inspiring vision, building a team that can help achieve the vision, motivating and inspiring team members to engage with that vision, and using management skills to guide people to the right destination, smoothly and efficiently.
