Abstract

In the international scenario, the traffic regulation in road transport is quite good and the roadway management through smart system technology is well managed. However Indian roadways are not of a decent standard because of total indiscipline by few individuals and making us to think about incorporating a good roadway management system.

The road accidents have increased in both urban and rural areas to an alarming level. Also numbers of deaths occur because of delay in accident alerts to hospitals and family in roadways. Thus a novel IoT based collision alert system is proposed for real time emergency situation wherein the family members and rescuers will get immediate alerts incase of accident. This system includes various sensors placed in front and rear side of vehicles to detect the accidents, GPS to track the location and remote communication module to send vital information to the rescuers. Rescuers will exactly know the location of the accident occurred, family members will get internet calls as soon as the accident occurs, nearby hospitals and police station location will be sent for immediate rescue. The alert system and IoT based cloud system are cautiously designed for real time application to avoid latency.
