Centre for Pharmaceutical Research & Drug Testing
The Centre for Pharmaceutical Research and Drug Testing is established in the year 2008 as a unit of School of Pharmaceutical Sciences. This centre is also known as VISTAS SPS LAB, which is mainly focussing on advanced research in various specialized areas of Pharmaceutical research and to serve as a resource hub for carrying out for young scientists and research scholars. This lab provides a strong platform for design, development and testing of various pharmaceutical products, cosmetics and Ayurvedic products.
The Centre for Pharmaceutical Research and Drug Testing is approved by the Drugs Controller, Government for Analytical Testing of Pharmaceuticals, Cosmetics, Ayurveda which is engaged in offering analysis and Industrial Testing Services.
The breadth of our expertise allows us to advice on the wider implications of results, particularly in terms of drug discovery and optimisation. A general goal is to provide not just results but understanding the real time problems encountered and providing rational solutions. The rare combination of the expertise, excellence in infrastructure and conducive environment to carryout research will help to materialize innovative ideas at a faster pace.
The lab was funded by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi under the MODERNISATION AND REMOVAL OF OBSOLESCENCE (MODROBS) Scheme. The state of the art sophisticated equipments purchased under this scheme had removed the obsolescence and accelerated the goal.
Thus this Centre fuels the new ideas of the undergraduate, post-graduate and research scholars in design, development and testing of new therapeutic tools which will alleviate the suffering caused by the diseases and disorders to the human community. Further, this lab destroys the barrier for the budding researchers to reach the sophisticated instruments and thus decreases the gap between the ideas and implementation.
