Dr.B.Usharani

Dr.B.Usharani, a Post Graduate from Bharathi Women’s College, Chennai also holds a Doctoral degree from Anna University, Chennai. She began her career as a Tutor in Bio-Chemistry at the Communicable Disease Hospital, Corporation of Chennai, and has served in various capacities in reputed organizations before transitioning to the  current position. She is associated with VISTAS. Since July 2019. She serves as an Associate Professor and Research Supervisor in the Department of Bio-Chemistry at VISTAS and currently serving as the Head, Department of Biochemistry. She has received 5 Awards in National and International level for her contribution as a teacher and researcher. She is an expert in Cancer Biology and Diabetes Management. Her current research spans diversified including dietary regimen to combat stress. She has published more than 45 articles in International and National Journals. She has written 2 Books and 5 Book Chapters. She has published 5 patents. She is an active reviewer in many peer reviewed journals. She has produced 3 research scholars and is currently guiding six Research Scholars. She is associated as a member in 2 professional bodies including Education Research and Development Association.
