Dr. K Karthickeyan

Dr. K Karthickeyan, completed his Diploma in Pharmacy in 2001 and his undergraduate degree in 2006 from C.L. Baid Metha College of Pharmacy, Chennai. He then completed a postgraduate degree in Pharmacy Practice with distinction in 2008 from JSS College of Pharmacy, Ooty, affiliated with Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai, where he was honored with the Prof. E. Venugopal Gold Medal for Best Outgoing Student. Dr. Karthickeyan further advanced his qualifications with an MBA in Hospital Management from Alagappa University, Karaikudi (2007), and a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Research from Annamalai University, Chidambaram (2010). He achieved his Ph.D. in Pharmacy from Pacific Academy of Higher Education and Research University, Udaipur, Rajasthan, in 2018, and was awarded the Doctor of Science (D.Sc) in Pharmaceutical Sciences by Mount Elbert University, USA, in 2023.

Has been a prominent speaker at international conferences, including the Asian Association of Schools of Pharmacy Conference in Haiphong, Vietnam (2016), and the Joint Event on Global Pharmacovigilance and Advanced Pharmacy in Sydney, Australia (2018), receiving travel grants from DST-SERB and CSIR, Government of India. With over 60 research papers published and 13 patents to his name, he is a respected reviewer and editorial board member for various national and international journals.

Currently serving as Professor and Head of the Department of Pharmacy Practice at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, VISTAS, Dr. Karthickeyan brings over 17 years of experience in pharmacy practice, teaching, and research. He has been recognized with 12 Outstanding Teacher Awards throughout his career and is an active member of several professional bodies, including (IPA) Indian Pharmaceutical Association, (IPGA) Indian Pharmacy Graduates Association, (IHPA) Indian Hospital Pharmacist Association, (APTI) Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India, (ISCA) International Science Congress Association , (IPES) Indian pharma educational society, (SPER) Society of Pharmaceutical Education & Research, (OPF) Operant Pharmacy Federation , (FIP) International Pharmaceutical Federation and (ISPOR) International conference Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research on Pharmacoeconomics. He also serves as an inspector for accredited organizations and as an examiner for postgraduate and doctoral programs at various universities.
