Dr. P.Shanmugasundaram

Dr.P.Shanmugasundaram, a Post Graduate in M.Pharm (Pharmaceutical Chemistry) from The Tamilnadu Dr M.G.R Medical University Chennai also holds a Doctoral degree in Pharmacology & Pharmaceutical Chemistry from University of Madras He has 22 years of teaching experience and has served in various capacities in VISTAS and presently servicing as Dean, of Pharmaceutical Sciences, SPS, VISTAS, Chennai since April 2023. He is an expert in Analytical Method Development and Validation of Drugs and Pharmaceuticals, Synthesis, isolation and evaluation of Pharmaceutical Compounds. His current research interests include Bio Analytical Method Development, Herbal Drug standardization, and Preparation of ophthalmic in-situ gels and also published more than 181 publications in international and other scientific journals with a H-index of 17. He is President of Association of Pharmacy Professionals, Tamilnadu Branch, NAAC Assessor, Editorial board member, Active Reviewer for various Pharma journals, Springer, Taylor & Francis. He has guided 17 research scholars and currently 8 scholars are pursuing under his guidance.
