Dr. P. Sujatha

Dr. P. Sujatha, holds a Doctoral degree from Vels Institute of Science & Technology in 2013, M.Phil in Computer Science in 2004, Master of Computer Science in 1999 and also qualified State Eligibility Test (SET) in 2016. She bagged University Rank in Master’s Degree. She is currently serving as Professor and Head in the Department of Information Technology School of Computing Sciences, Vels Institute of Science Technology and Advanced Studies, Pallavaram, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. She has 25 years of teaching experience both in UG and PG level. She is a registered supervisor at VISTAS and guides doctoral research scholars. She has guided 10 Research Scholars and 9 M.Phil Scholars in her credit. Currently guiding 8 Research Scholars in Vels Institute of science, Technology and Advanced Studies. Her research interests include Image Processing, Network Security and Data Mining.  She has published 90 research papers in various International Journals, wherein few are in indexed in Scopus, Web of Science (WoS), UGC Approved Journals and also includes 10 text books. As an active participant, she has presented 45 papers in various International Conferences and 36 papers in National Conferences. She serves as Editorial Board Member / Reviewer of various reputed Journals. She has been invited as resource person for various International Conferences. She has conferred a special recognition under “Excellence Teaching in Higher Education” for the futuristic and outstanding best practices in the field of Education from various organizations. She is also a member in CSI-Chennai Chapter, International Association of Engineers and so on.
