Dr. R. Parameswari

Dr. R. Parameswari, Professor & Head earned her research doctorate in Computer Science from St. Peter’s University, Chennai in 2016. She is currently serving as Professor and Head in the Department of Computer Science, School of Computing Sciences, Vels Institute of Science Technology and Advanced Studies, Pallavaram, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. She possesses more than 18 years of teaching experience in reputed institution. Her research area is Cloud Computing, Big Data Analytics, Internet of Things (IoT). She has published 75 research articles in refereed international journals, wherein few are in indexed in Scopus, Web of Science (WoS), UGC Approved Journals. She has presented 50 research papers in national and international conferences at reputed Universities / Institutions and also serving as the editorial member and reviewer for national, international and Scopus Journals. She is a registered supervisor at VISTAS and guides doctoral research scholars. She has guided 5 M.Phil Scholars, 6 Ph.D Scholars and currently guiding 10 Ph.D Scholars. She is the Life member of Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), Computer Society of India (CSI), Professional Bodies – National Foundation for Entrepreneurship Development (NFED) and Member in International Association of Academicians Scientist, Scholar and Engineers. She is acting as a Member of Editorial Board for the International Journal of Latest Technology in Engineering, Management & Applied Science (IJLTEMAS) and acting as article reviewer in various International Journals. She is involved in coaching the candidates through a center at Karur District, Tamilnadu for the competitive examination for recruitment of computer instructors in Government Higher Secondary Schools. She is the recipient of Excellence Teaching in Higher Education Award in DKIRFA Awards from DK International Research Foundation, Perambalur, Tamilnadu and Young Educator and Scholar Award, 10^th Teachers Day Award organized by National Foundation for Entrepreneurship Development (NFED), Coimbatore, Excellent and Dedicated Professional Achievement Award from INDO-THAI International Excellence Award.
