Dr. S. Chandrachud

Dr. S. Chandrachud, a passionate teacher, completed his Ph.D., from University of Madras, both M.A and M.Phil from Madras Christian College, and received award for Best Outgoing student from MCC during 1995-97 batch.  He also holds a Master degree in  Computer Application (MCA) from University of Madras. He has completed the State Level Educational Testing (SLET) conducted by Bharthidasan University, Tamilnadu. This is his 27^th year at Vels group of Institutions, currently, serving as Professor and Head, Department of Economics, School of Management Studies and Commerce, VISTAS.   He has penned 14 books and published more than 150 research and review articles in Scopus, UGCCARE list etc. He has professional membership with 12 professional bodies and is also serving as editor for several leading journals. He has received more than 30 Awards at National and International level including D.Sc., post Doctorate, (honorary) from International agency of standards and rating, Best Economist Award, Best researcher Award, Best Academician Award and நல்லாசிரியர் விருது (Nallaasireyar Viruthu- Best teacher Award) and so on. He is serving as YRC coordinator at VISTAS and is conducting many blood donation camps and other events. He has donated his blood on more than 40 occasions as a social responsible person. He has produced 3 Ph.D., and eight other scholars are pursuing under his guidance.
