Dr. S. Jerritta

Dr. Jerritta S received her B.E, M.E and Ph.D degrees from Manonmaniam Sundranar Trinelveli,  Anna University, Chennai and Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), Perlis, Malaysia respectively. Prior to joining VISTAS in 2014, she has worked as Graduate Research Assistant in Universiti of Perlis Malaysia (UniMAP) and Senior Software Engineer at Infosys. She is also a member of the Artificial Intelligence Research Lab at VISTAS and works on developing AI-ML algorithms for various unexpressed and hidden psychological states such as emotions, loneliness, drowsiness, inattention, hypovigilance etc., using physiological signals for people with disabilities such as Autism Spectrum Disorder. She is an Academic Editor of PLOSONE, an open access Web of Science (WoS) indexed journal and is also reviewer in many Scopus and WoS indexed journals.

She is also well trained in the concepts of Outcome Based Education (OBE) as part of NPTEL Internship and has served as a faculty for OBE in various Institutions more notably the five day workshop on Course Design in OBE and NBA Framework held at Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru. She is passionate in enhancing the teaching learning methods and also serves as the Associate Director of Academics at VISTAS.
