PROGRAMME OUTCOME (PO)

Upon successful completion of the B.Sc. Biomedical Sciences programme, graduates will be able to:

PO1 – Scientific Knowledge

Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, microbiology, pathology, molecular biology, genetics, and immunology.

PO2 – Laboratory Skills

Perform clinical and research laboratory techniques including sample handling, instrumentation, molecular diagnostics, and data interpretation.

PO3 – Analytical and Critical Thinking

Analyze biomedical problems, interpret experimental data, and apply scientific reasoning to solve healthcare-related issues.

PO4 – Research Competency

Design and conduct basic research experiments, apply biostatistics, and prepare scientific reports and presentations.

PO5 – Modern Tool Usage

Use modern biomedical instruments, diagnostic equipment, bioinformatics tools, and emerging technologies effectively.

PO6 – Ethics and Professionalism

Apply ethical principles, biosafety practices, and regulatory guidelines in clinical and research settings.

PSO1 – Clinical and Diagnostic Competency
Apply principles of biomedical sciences to perform, analyze, and interpret clinical laboratory investigations using standard diagnostic techniques and biomedical instrumentation in healthcare and research settings.

PSO2 – Research and Technological Proficiency
Demonstrate proficiency in molecular biology, biotechnology, bioinformatics, and emerging diagnostic technologies to support research, innovation, and advancements in biomedical and healthcare sectors.
