An initiative to empower student community
The objective of the Happiness Centre is to:
- Raise awareness about overall well being.
- Enhance soft skills, such as interpersonal and intrapersonal skills.
- Promote help-seeking behavior and emotional well-being practices.
What does “Happiness Centre ” offer?
- Happiness Centre offers access to students and staff to professional and confidential one – on -one wellness consulting services. We assists student and staff in realizing their potential. Our experienced student counsellors provide accessible, inclusive consulting services.
- Happiness centre offers free counselling for students, teaching & non-teaching staffs. It is also considered to be an integral part of guidance.
- Our Student Counsellor’s are professionally trained experts who help people overcome their issues after a systematic chain of sessions. Confidentiality is strictly maintained in terms of counselling consultation.
- Our Student Counsellors will also develop an action plan to help you develop with the coping mechanism.
- To make consulting services even more accessible for everyone ‘QR Code system’ is in place inside all our campuses, to book counselling appointment with our student counsellors.
Activities of Happiness Centre
Orientation Programs:
The first years of UG and PG courses are given an orientation programme about the counselling services of ‘ Happiness Centre’. The counsellor meets with the respective departments of the university to give the induction programme. Students are encouraged to visit and make use of the services provided at ‘Happiness Centre’.
One – on – One Counselling:
Consulting is offered to students relating to issues like focusing on studies, time management, study habits, shyness, insecurity, self-confidence, exam fear, communication skills, intrapersonal & interpersonal relationships, family, career, healthy food habits, self-empowerment, maintaining circadian rhythm etc.
Workshops:
Workshops on various topics are conducted on a regular basis for students on personality enhancement & overall enrichment of student’s abilities.
Aptitude Assessments:
Assessments on personality, intelligence, vocational interest & aptitude are available at Happiness Centre. Students are encouraged to take these tests to be more aware of their skills and interests. These simple assessments helps students to achieve self-enhancement and personal growth.
