About the Centre
The Learning Development Centre (LDC) at Vels Institute of Science, Technology and Advanced Studies (VISTAS) is a dedicated institutional centre committed to promoting excellence in teaching, learning, and holistic academic development. The Centre enhances the quality of higher education by strengthening faculty competencies, advancing student learning, and fostering innovative, learner-centric educational practices aligned with the Vision and Mission of the University. The LDC facilitates faculty development, student learning enhancement, curriculum innovation, digital pedagogy, Outcome-Based Education (OBE), research-integrated teaching, and the adoption of emerging educational technologies. It also supports the implementation of national initiatives, including the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, multidisciplinary education, skill development, and lifelong learning. Through collaboration with academic departments and institutional quality initiatives, the Centre contributes to continuous quality improvement, academic excellence, and the holistic development of both faculty and students.
