VISTAS invites applications from highly motivated, research-driven candidates for admission to the PhD Programme (January 2025 Session) in departments where vacancies are available.

• Full-Time Ph.D. candidates will be given top priority, encouraging immersive and impactful research.
• The Vels Research Fellowship is offered to eligible Full-Time Research Scholars and supports scholars throughout their research journey.
• Candidates qualified in UGC/CSIR/ICMR/DBT/DST/NET-JRF/SET, AICTE-GATE, AYUSH/INSPIRE Fellowships are exempted from the Ph.D. Entrance Examination.
• Selection will be based on a Common Entrance Examination followed by a Personal Interview, with academic merit and research potential as criteria.
• Last date for applying for Ph.D (January 2025 Session) is extended up to 23.01.2025

Ph.D. Entrance Examination – Important Information

All candidates seeking admission to the Ph.D. Programme are required to register for the Ph.D. Entrance Examination. Candidates who are not exempted from the Entrance Examination, as per the applicable regulations, shall appear for the examination.
