VISTAS Scholarship Schemes (AY 2026 – 2027)
Eligibility & Scholarship Details
All scholarships offered by VISTAS are applicable for the entire duration of the Program (all years of study). All scholarships are subject to the terms and conditions of the VISTAS Admission Policy.

| 1 | VSAT Scholarship The Vels Scholarship Admission Test (VSAT) aims to provide equal opportunities to students from various parts of the country, enabling them to pursue their desired programs. | A 100% scholarship is offered to top-ranking students. 75%, 50%, 25%, and 10% scholarships are offered to other meritorious students based on the rank secured. The V-SAT Scholarship is applicable only to undergraduate programs, excluding marine programs. It is not applicable to postgraduate programs, lateral entry, or diploma students. |

| 2 | Merit Scholarship Offered to students based on the marks secured in +12 qualifying exams. Merit Scholarship (For MBA Program) | i) Merit scholarships are not applicable to collaborative programs. Merit scholarships are applicable only to undergraduate programs, excluding marine programs. Postgraduate, lateral entry, working professional, transfer and diploma students are not eligible for merit scholarships. This scholarship scheme also applies to the Thiruvanmiyur campus. |

| ii) A 10% scholarship on tuition fees is offered to students who have secured 80% and above in the 12th standard State Board and 75% and above in the CBSE board. Seats are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, and only 20% of students in each program can avail of this concession. This scholarship is not applicable to the Pharm. D program. iii) MBA Program (including collaborative programs) (This concession is not applicable to the MBA Twinning Program.) 1. Candidates who have secured 40% and more in MAT/CAT entrance exam – 10% in Tuition fee. 2. Candidates who have secured 60% or above in the TANCET entrance examination are eligible for a 10% concession on tuition fees. 3. Candidates who have secured a CGPA of 8.0 or above in their undergraduate program are eligible for a 10% concession on tuition fees. |

| 3 | First Graduate Scholarship Offered to students who will be the first graduates in their family. | First graduate students receive a 10% tuition fee concession. This scholarship is applicable to Engineering Programs and Allied Health Sciences, but is not applicable to B.Tech. Robotics and AI. A first graduate certificate must be obtained from the Tahsildar under the Tamil Nadu government and submitted to avail of this scholarship. |

| 4 | Sports Scholarship Awarded to support athletes and sports players in pursuing their academic programs. | A 100% tuition fee scholarship, along with free hostel accommodation, is offered to outstanding athletes and sports players. If the total quota for sports scholarships is filled, remaining students may be considered for 75%, 50%, 25%, or 10% scholarships. Programs will be allotted to students subject to availability. Students not accommodated in their preferred program will be given the option to choose from other available programs. The evaluation of candidates under the sports quota is based on the supportive documents submitted, which demonstrate participation and achievements at the international, national, interuniversity, and state levels, as well as the medals obtained. The Director of Physical Education, VISTAS, will monitor and evaluate the performance of these students throughout their program of study. If their performance is deemed unsatisfactory, the authorities may review and decide on the continuation of the fee concession. |

| 6 | Ex-Servicemen Scholarship Extended to the children of ex-servicemen. | Ex-Servicemen Scholarship A 10% tuition fee scholarship is offered to the children of ex-servicemen in recognition of their service. This scholarship is applicable only to undergraduate programs, excluding pharmacy, collaborative programs, and marine programs. Postgraduate, lateral entry, working professional, transfer and diploma students are not eligible for this scholarship. A valid certificate as proof of ex-serviceman status must be obtained from the appropriate authorities and submitted to avail of this scholarship. |

| 7 | Fee concession for eligible students by Chancellor Fee concessions may be awarded to eligible students at the discretion of the Chancellor, in accordance with institutional policies. | Fee concessions are applicable only to undergraduate and postgraduate programs, excluding pharmacy, collaborative programs, and marine programs. Applications based on the list of meritorious students received from Agaram, FEFSI, and Nadigar Sangam will be considered subject to program availability. Up to a 75% fee concession may be granted based on requests received from economically disadvantaged categories and the film industry, subject to availability. |

| 9 | Special Scholarship for Students from Government and Corporation Schools | A 10% scholarship on tuition fees is offered to students from government and corporation schools to support their undergraduate studies. This scholarship is not applicable to collaborative or marine programs. |
