Under the following categories:
Vels Student Aptitude Test(VSAT) offers the choice of education to students from various walks of life. On average, nearly 10,000 students from all over India competes to avail themselves of the scholarship. The test duration is 45 minutes and it follows the pattern of Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal and Logical questions. Based on the secured percentage, the scholarship is offered in a range from 10% to 75% waiver in fees. Students with exemplary marks are given full fee concession for the entire course period.
Students’ who secured a distinctive percentage of 90-95 in the 12th exams (Senior Secondary) in both CBSE and State Board are honoured and motivated by providing them with fee waiver through Merit Scholarship Scheme. Every year up to ten eligible students can avail the fee waiver.
Vels University is committed to educating students from economically weaker section of society. VISTAS offers the First Graduate Scholarship to educate the candidates from lower-income groups and enable them to get quality education. The eligible student can avail a waiver of 10% from the Tuition fee and they can attain the benefit during the course period as clear the exams and pass every year without an arrear.
Vels University has made sure to treat people equally and it is served at its best. The University is ambitious in uplifting the lives of needy and forgotten artists. Children of those Performing Artist with the humble background can attain their aim through this scholarship. In honour of the brave patriots, Vels Institute of Science Technology and Advanced Studies (VISTAS), offers the Ex-Servicemen Scholarship to their children. Every year a fee waiver of 10% in tuition fee is offered.
The Chancellor/Chairman Ishari K.Ganesh, himself is a sports enthusiast who knows the importance of physical wellness has initiated a special Scholarship Scheme for all those young spirits. He is the President of Tamil Nadu Taekwondo Association, Vice President of Taekwondo Federation of India and Vice Chairman of Tamil Nadu Olympic Association. The University’s Football team has topped the table in consecutive years. To support the aspiring athlete and players, a 100% waiver on Tuition fee and free hostel accommodation are offered.
On average, nearly 3000 students graduate every year from Vels Institute of Science, Technology and Advanced Studies. As a token of gratitude the Alumni generously contributes funds to the Vels University Alumni Trust. The money earned through knowledge application is invested into educating young minds.

All scholarships offered by VISTAS are applicable for the entire duration of the course (all years of study). All scholarships are subject to the terms and conditions of the VISTAS Admission Policy.

VSAT Scholarship
The Vels Scholarship Admission Test (VSAT) is aimed at providing equal opportunities to students from various parts of the country and enabling them to pursue their dream courses. |
100% scholarships are offered to top-ranking students.
75%, 50%, 25%, and 10% scholarships are offered to other meritorious students based on the rank secured. The V-SAT Scholarship is applicable for undergraduate programs only, except for Pharmacy and Marine courses. All PG courses, lateral and diploma students will not be eligible for the V-SAT. |

Merit Scholarship
Offered to students based on the marks secured in +12 qualifying exams. |
i) Merit scholarships are not applicable for collaborative programs. Merit Scholarships are applicable for undergraduate programs only, except B.Tech. IT, Pharmacy and Marine courses. All PG courses, lateral, part-time, transfer and diploma students will not be eligible for merit scholarships.
* Only two seats are permitted per program.
ii) A 10% scholarship in the tuition fee is offered to the students who secured marks of 80% and above in the 12th standard State Board and 75% and above in the CBSE Board. Seats are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, and only 20% of the students can avail themselves of the intake of each program. |

First Graduate Scholarship
Offered to students who will eventually become the first graduates in their family. |
A 10% scholarship in the tuition fee is offered to eligible students pursuing engineering courses. The first graduate certificate has to be obtained from the Tahsildar under the Tamil Nadu government and it has to be submitted for the first graduate scholarship. |

| 4 | Sports Scholarship
To support athletes and sports players.

100% scholarship in the tuition fee is offered together with free hostel accommodation.
If the total quota of allotments for sports scholarships is completely filled, then the remaining students will be considered for 75%, 50%, 25% and 10% scholarships. Courses will be allotted to students, subject to availability. Remaining students will be given the option to choose other available courses or programs. The supportive documents submitted by the above candidates for their participation and achievements at the international, national, interuniversity and state levels and the medals obtained by them were considered for the evaluation of the merits of the candidate for admission under the sports quota. The Director of Sports, Vels Group, and Director of Physical Education, VISTAS, will monitor and evaluate the performance of these students during their course of study. If they feel that their performance is not satisfactory, they will inform the authorities. The authorities may decide on the continuation of the full fee concession. |

| 5 | Alumni Scholarship
Offered to alumni of the Vels Group who are interested in pursuing further education at VISTAS in undergraduate and postgraduate programs. |
UG to PG / PG to PG students receive a 10% scholarship in the tuition fee and should submit the final semester results or consolidated mark sheets, which are given by the Controller of Examinations, VISTAS. Vels Group of Schools: 10% scholarship in the tuition fee; submit a letter from the principal. Alumni scholarships are applicable for undergraduate and postgraduate programs only, except for Pharm.D, collaborative programs and marine courses.

| 6 | Ex-Servicemen Scholarship
Extended to the children of ex-servicemen. |
A 10% scholarship in tuition fees is offered to the children of ex-servicemen to honor their services.
The Ex-Servicemen Scholarship is applicable for undergraduate programs only, except Pharmacy, all other collaborative programs and Marine courses. All PG courses, lateral, part-time, transfer and diploma students will not be eligible for the Ex-Servicemen Scholarship. A Certificate of Proof for an Ex-Serviceman has to be obtained from the necessary authorities and it has to be submitted for the Ex-Serviceman Scholarship. |
In addition to the above scholarships granted at the time of admission, the Ishari Velan Merit Scholarship is available for meritorious students.
