TRAINING FOR PLACEMENT

The goal of the VISTAS Career Advancement Cell (CAC). Training for Placement program is to give students the tools they need to be successful in the workforce. This method provides a comprehensive approach by utilising aptitude training to improve verbal, mathematical, and logical thinking capabilities. Another major area of emphasis is communication and soft skills development. This program aims to assist students become more proficient in public speaking, professional etiquette, and verbal and nonverbal communication.

Furthermore, the curriculum helps students with resume building and profile enhancement so that their LinkedIn profiles, cover letters, and resumes properly highlight their qualifications. To help students experience real-world placement settings, mock interviews and group discussions are held. Students receive thorough feedback to help them perform better.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To identify the Training needs of individual student
  • To assess the students – Pre- Training assessment and post-training assessment
  • Allocate hours in consultation with the departments
  • Frame syllabus in accordance with the core subject
  • Allot trainers and schedule the hours
  • Maintain the records of students’ readiness for the placement process

ELIGIBILITY FOR TRAINING

  • All students are eligible for the integrated training program which starts from the first semester

REGISTRATION PROCESS

  • No specific registration is required; however, all students should sign the declaration form CAC FORM -3

TRAINING PROCESS

  • Training programs are systematically scheduled to cater the needs of every student
  • Training programs are scheduled either with in-house trainers or out-sourced trainers. The students are expected to maintain discipline in the training sessions by giving due respect to the trainers
  • The assessments given during the training sessions are accounted for subject credits and so the students should complete the assessments on time with proper preparations
  • Any indiscipline during the training session will be viewed seriously, as it may offend the trainer and affect the other students who are willing to attend the training session
  • Any issues regarding the portions completion or the trainer can be addressed to the HOD or the Training head at CAC
  • Missing training sessions will be recorded as absent and will be accounted for any query raised by the student or the parents for not getting placement through CAC
  • Students should take up the training activities very seriously and upgrade their skills to face interviews in companies of repute
  • Continuous absence to the training will be considered as an indiscipline and students will not be allowed to register for placements through CAC
  • Attendance for the training programme is compulsory as we consider – thorough knowledge will be the main root for a student to excel in entrepreneurship / higher education

DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS ON NON-ADHERENCE TO THE TRAINING CRITERIA

  • Ensure the requirements of assignments and assessments in a timely manner strictly
  • Participate actively and contribute to active learning
  • Ensure attendance criteria’s prescribed by the institutions
  • Non adherence to Evaluations based on Assessments clearance would be severely dealt with encompassing of non-issuance of Hall Tickets for the Examinations
