The Department of Commerce (Professional Accounting) provides students with the Bachelor of Commerce degree integrated with Chartered Accounting, providing a substantial amount of specialization in the area of chartered accounting.
This course is particularly suitable for those who wish to pursue a career in finance, most commonly, aspiring CA students.
With greater thrust laid on subjects specifically based on Chartered Accounting syllabus, the course is focused more on the development of the professional side of the student.
To enable the students to obtain a good understanding of the financial aspects of a business and gain knowledge through experiential learning.
To create nurture accounting professionals who possess a high level of knowledge and competence to effectively contribute to society with diligence, commitment and integrity.

PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OUTCOME (PEOS) PEO-1: Students will demonstrate a general tax consciousness, including an understanding of the role of taxation in society and the development of skills related to the recognition of the tax problems.
