INTERNAL QUALITY ASSURANCE CELL (IQAC)
Internal Quality Assurance Cell, an internal quality assurance mechanism practiced in the University, is conceived as a mechanism to build and ensure a quality culture at the institutional level. Every Higher Education Institute (HEI) should have an internal quality assurance system, with appropriate structure and processes, and with enough flexibility to meet the diverse needs of the stakeholders. The IQAC is meant for planning, guiding and monitoring Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Enhancement (QE) activities of the HEIs.
The IQAC functions as a core quality enhancing system, facilitating a sense of belonging through a participatory approach towards enhancing, sustaining and internalizing quality culture within the institution. The IQAC is constituted with a team of 16 members, headed by the Vice Chancellor.
The activities of the IQAC unit focus on Quality enhancement, the internalization of quality culture, and the setting up of mechanisms and procedures to ensure the prompt and efficient performance of academic, administrative and financial tasks. Training programs are organized periodically for the faculty, the administrative and supportive staff and the students. The IQAC also endeavors to optimize the integration of modern methods of teaching, learning and evaluation and ensures the adequacy, maintenance and functioning of the support structure. The IQAC organizes workshops / seminars on quality related themes and also prepares the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) of the University.
