Centre for Bioengineering

The center of Bioengineering is a research and development initiative established at VISTAS in the Year 2018.It is created to promote the scientific discovery and the invention of new technologies and therapies through research and education.  The centre aims  to keep track of the transition trajectory of global  development and work towards conceptualization, development and mainstreaming  of innovative products. The laboratory has an innovative facility to understand the human physiology and function using BIOPAC data acquisition system. This laboratory is equipped with the latest bio engineering equipments which helps the undergraduate students, doctoral students to do their curriculum-based research.

The project “Design and Development of 3D Printed Prosthetic Foot controlled by myoelectric signal” is funded by Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Department of Science and Technology, under Teachers Associationship for Research Excellence, Government of India (TAR/2018/001114). This research lab is equipped with a custom-built 3D Printer,BIOPAC Data acquisition system helps to acquire physiological data (EEG, ECG, EoG) which can be used for research purpose.
