The School of Agriculture has started in the year 2022 at the Vels Institute of Science, Technology and Advanced Studies (VISTAS), Pallavaram campus, Chennai. The programmes offered by the School of Agriculture is B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture, B.Sc.(Hons.) Horticulture, Diploma in Agriculture and Diploma in Horticulture. The School of Agriculture have consisted of well qualified, enthusiastic energetic young faculties who are experts in their research fields, evident from their publications and research outsource funding etc.,The faculty members mobilize funds towards research through sponsored projects from different funding agencies such as DST, EDII-IVP etc. Comprehensively, the School published over 86 research articles on emerging areas viz., Agronomy, Horticulture, Plant Breeding, Agricultural Entomology, Plant Pathology, Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry, Economics etc., in well reputed National and International peer reviewed journals. The School of Agriculture is periodically organizing International/National conferences, Farmer trainings, seminars and workshop to bridge the gap between the Lab to land.
